The National Living Wage is changing from April 2023

Does everyone qualify for the National Minimum Wage?

No. Not everyone is entitled to receive the National Minimum Wage.
The main individuals who are exempt are the following:

Self-employed individuals,
Company Directors,
Volunteers,
Students on work placements
Workers younger than school leaving age (i.e. Usually 16)

What are the penalties for not paying the minimum hourly rates?

It is against the law to pay workers less than the UK National Living Wage or National Minimum Wage.
If Enhance process your payroll we will of course action the correct Minimum Wage increases for any employees affected.

Please ensure that if you process your own payroll the below is adhered to.
